> BEAR DOWN. Arkansas men’s basketball takes on No. 17 Baylor tomorrow in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. The two teams last played in the Elite Eight of the 2021 NCAA Tournament with Baylor coming out on top, but both squads are vastly different nearly two years later. Here is what has stood out from the Hogs’ two-game win streak.

  • Devo Davis, who played in that Elite Eight game two years ago, has scored 16 points in each of the last two games. The Razorbacks were +28 when he’s out on the floor.
  • Anthony Black played at least 37 minutes in each win and averaged 15.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.
  • Ole Miss and LSU combined to make just five second half three-pointers in their defeats to Arkansas

Tipoff from Waco, Texas will be at 3pm, and ESPN will carry the game.

> SOFT SPOT. After winning back-to-back SEC titles, Arkansas softball still has more to prove. The Hogs were picked to finish third in the SEC this season by the conference’s coaches for the second-straight year. The No. 6 Razorbacks received five first-place votes and were one of just three programs to be given any. Click here to see the full preseason poll.

> INVITED TO RUN. Randal Tyson Track Center will be poppin’ once again this weekend for the Razorback Invitational, featuring the Arkansas men’s and women’s track and field squads along with five other SEC programs. Among the many events that excite us, here’s what we’re looking out for:

  • Lauren Gregory races in the final section of the mile run with Arkansas alum Logan Jolly along with current teammate Mary Ellen Eudaly, who won the mile at the Arkansas Invitational. Defending indoor 3,000m champion Taylor Roe of Oklahoma State will also be running in the event.
  • Carey McLeod will make his Razorback debut in the long jump. Carey is on The Bowerman watch list for the 2023 campaign a year after collecting the SEC gold medal in the long jump for Tennessee.

The action begins today with ESPN streaming the event starting at 6pm.

> TOUR OF COURTS. Arkansas tennis will be on both sides of the country this weekend with spots at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships on the line.

The women’s team will be competing in California with a match against Florida State at noon and will face either No. 7 Stanford or Kansas State tomorrow. In Michigan, the men’s team will take on Northwestern tomorrow and either Michigan or Cal Poly Sunday.

Both of Arkansas’ teams are a combined 7-0 to start the year.

> STRIPE THE BARN. Barnhill Arena will host another ranked matchup as the No. 23 Gymbacks take No. 8 LSU tonight for a dual meet.

Last time out, Arkansas set new season highs on bars (49.225), vault (49.325), floor (49.300), and also earned a new season high mark as a team with 196.675. They will look to build on that and secure their second win of the year in the first-ever Stripe the Barn event for the program. Attending fans are encouraged to review the Stripe the Barn map to see which section they’d like to sit in, and its corresponding color.

The meet will also be broadcast live on SEC Network with intros beginning at 7:45pm.

Revving to be ranked. Arkansas has a big chance for a resume building win tomorrow at Baylor. Q and Z preview the matchup and a busy sports weekend on The Hill in today’s episode.
