TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Arkansas men’s cross country team finished 13th at the Pre-National Invitational at the site of the 2019 NCAA Championships at LaVern Gibson Championship Course Saturday afternoon.
As he has all season, Matt Young led the way for Arkansas, posting a top-30 finish with a 30th-place showing running 24:08.20.
Carter Persyn finished the day as the Razorback’s No. 2 taking 89th-place with a time of 24:44.70.
Rounding out the top-five for Arkansas were Jayce Turner (24:49.90), Preston Cates (24:51.10), and Myles Richter (25:03.90) in 97th, 100th, and 122nd-place.
As a team, Arkansas was 13th with a total score of 438-points.
On Friday afternoon at the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational, Cameron Griffith, who still has indoor eligibility won the “B” section of the men’s 8K at Thomas Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wis.
Next up for the Razorbacks will be the SEC Championships in Lexington, Ky. set for Fri. Nov. 1 at Kentucky Horse Park.
