Razorbacks Head To Little Rock Nationally Ranked
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Despite its first setback of the 2016 season on Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Arkansas landed in both the Associated Press (AP) and Amway Coaches Poll Top 25s for the third straight week. The Razorbacks will enter Saturday’s game in Little Rock ranked No. 20 by the AP and No. 22 by the coaches.
It marks the first time since 2011 that Arkansas has been in the top 25 for three consecutive weeks. The Razorbacks will take on Alcorn State on Saturday in Little Rock before returning to Fayetteville to host No. 1 Alabama and No. 16 Ole Miss in back-to-back weeks.
Arkansas will look to pick up the program’s 150th win (149-60-4) at War Memorial Stadium. A win would give the Razorbacks their first 4-1 start since 2011.
Junior quarterback Austin Allen, who will make his fifth career start and first at War Memorial Stadium, leads the SEC in completion percentage (66.7). Over his first four career starts this season, Allen is 81-of-121 for 1,026 yards and nine touchdowns. Named the SEC Player of the Week and Manning Award Quarterback of the Week after the win at No. 15 TCU in week two, Allen is one of 10 FBS players with two or more touchdown passes in each of the first four weeks of the season.
