Razorbacks Wrap Up Day 1 at SECs, Earn Two Top 10 Dive Finishes

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Arkansas swim and dive team kicked off the first day of SEC Championships in Knoxville, Tenn.

Tuesday’s action started with the 1,650 freestyle, which completed all heats in the early window of competition. Swimming concluded their competition for the day with the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay.

Diving competed in 1-meter, beginning with preliminary competition in the early afternoon, and had finals later that evening.

Flippin’ Into Finals

  • Sophomore Majo Sanchez makes B Finals in 1-meter diving with a preliminary score of 324.75. Sanchez would go on to finish first in her B Finals heat, and ninth overall with a final score of 292.05.
  • Sophomore Lotti Hubert secured a spot in A Finals in 1-meter diving with a preliminary score of 319.28. Hubert would end up placing third overall with a final score of 315.oo, giving the Razorbacks their first podium finish of the week.

For Tomorrow

  • Preliminary action kicks off at 8:30 a.m. consisting of the 100 backstrokes, 200 butterfly, and 100 breaststrokes.
  • Finals events in the previously mentioned events begin at 4:30 p.m.
