FAYETTEVILLE — Several former members of the Razorback football teamwere in action Tuesday as they put their athletic skill on display at Pro Day.Arkansas’ Pro Day drew NFL scouts, coaches and executives to Fayetteville to attend the workouts of draft-eligible Razorbacks. Each player was put through a series of tests beginning with measurements in the weight room for height, weight, bench press, vertical jump and broad jump. The players were then test on the field in the 40-yard dash, pro-shuttle, three-cone and the 60 shuttle as well as position workouts.

Following the workout, several players commented on the day and their status for the future:

Offensive lineman Mitch Petrus"Coach Petrino has helped me out so much and I didn’t realize it until it came to this time. He’s first class, all business and handles everything that way. That’s really how it is at the next level. I haven’t had a shock or a big surprise and I knew what I was getting into, but my knowledge of the X’s and O’s through what I learned from Coach Petrinohad helped me inthese meetings when I meet with NFL coaches. He definitely gets players ready for the NFL."

On matching a record at the NFL combine on the bench press:"I felt good about it. I actually lost count somewhere around 35. I surprised myself and had never got that many before. Had I known the record was 45 I would have at least attempted another one. I was happy with it.

Defensive Tackle Malcolm Sheppard"It was fun today. I improved on everything I did at the combine. I went through an injury at the combine and wasn’t 100 percent, so I did a little bit better and improved on things. It ranged for different teams what they are looking at me for from defensive end to defensive tackle and also linebacker. I’m a versatile player and a work in process and I feel I’ll improve in the future. Today was part of the process and it is a fun process that I’ve enjoyed."

Wide Receiver London Crawford:"I thought I did pretty good and caught the ball well and looked the ball all the way in. I had some good starts and some good finishes on a lot of different runs. I felt like I did pretty good overall. Without a doubt I felt like I helped myself today. I went out and ran precise routes and caught the ball well. I had a lot of adrenaline going and went through it like I wanted to do."
