Before Arkansas

Playing with the Tennessee Ballhawks in travel ball, Dotson was a four-time ASA state champion and was part of several top-10 finishes at the ASA National Tournament. She carried a .496 batting average while playing with the Ballhawks to go along with more than 50 home runs while averaging 40 stolen bases per season. In addition to her softball prowess, Dotson was a two-time state champion (shot put, 4x100m relay) for the Ensworth High School track and field team.

Personal

Jada is the daughter of Dewayne and Glenda Dotson, and has a brother, J.D. who plays football and competes in track and field at Centre College in Kentucky. Dotson plans to pursue kinesiology as a major at Arkansas.
