SEC Runner of the Week honor for Sanu Jallow-Lockhart

FAYETTEVILLE – Razorback junior Sanu Jallow-Lockhart earned SEC Runner of the Week honors following her performances at the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, which included anchoring Arkansas to a collegiate record in the 4 x 800m relay.

Jallow-Lockhart ran on three relay teams during the Texas Relays. In addition to the collegiate record of 8:16.12 in the 4 x 800, where she supplied an anchor leg of 2:01.6, Jallow-Lockhart also anchored (2:01.28) the sprint medley relay to a runner-up finish in 3:38.15, which is a UA record and No. 3 on the collegiate all-time list.

As an encore in the final event of the meet, Jallow-Lockhart ran the lead-off leg of the winning 4 x 400m relay with a 52.5 carry. Arkansas won the race by four seconds with a 3:25.03 that is the current outdoor world leader.

Joining Jallow-Lockhart on the collegiate record 4 x 800m relay were Analisse Batista, Ainsley Erzen, and Anna Podojil. They bettered the previous collegiate record of 8:17.28 set by Washington during the 2024 Penn Relays. Arkansas also demolished the Texas Relays record of 8:20.69 set by LSU in 2023.

The Razorback sprint medley crew included Anya Jackson, Shawnti Jackson, and Kaylyn Brown while the 4 x 400m relay squad included S. Jackson, Rachel Glenn, and K. Brown.
