SEC announces women's hoop schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas women’s basketball team announced the addition of five televised events to the 2009-10 schedule today. The Razorbacks have five away contests that air as part of the Southeastern Conference’s television package this year. Those events include the road game at Alabama Jan. 24, at Tennessee Feb. 4, at South Carolina Feb. 14, at LSU Feb. 25 and at Georgia Feb. 28. The Alabama, Tennessee and LSU contests air on FSN while the South Carolina game is scheduled for ESPN2. The Georgia contest is part of the SEC Network package. Two of the games saw time changes as part of the television schedule. The LSU game moves to 8 p.m. central while the Georgia game moves up 30 minutes to 1 p.m. central. "We’re really excited about our television schedule," Arkansas head coach Tom Collen said. "The SEC promised to sign us to the best TV schedule in the country and they came through. Having five road games on TV will be great for our fans. It will allow them to watch us play more games than ever before." Arkansas will likely add a pair of road games on the COX network as well. Those dates are still being decided.
