Singleton, Collins Join On The Air With Bret Bielema

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by AT&T and Lindsey, returns on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Catfish Hole in Fayetteville. This week’s show will feature first year special teams coordinator/running backs coach Jemal Singleton and junior running back Alex Collins as the Razorbacks prepare for Saturday’s road game at No. 8 Alabama.

Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host head coach Bret Bielema and fans can make reservations to attend the shows by calling the Catfish Hole at 479-521-7008. Tickets are $25 and include all you can eat dinner buffet with catfish, shrimp and chicken.

Singleton has made an immediate impact in the running backs room, highlighted by Collins and freshman Rawleigh Williams III becoming the first pair of Arkansas running backs to reach the 100-yard mark in an SEC game since 2007. Collins has reached the 100-yard plateau in four of five games while Arkansas gone for over 225 yards on the ground in the last three contests. The Razorbacks rank fourth in the SEC in rush yards per game (204).

Arkansas wiped out a 14-0 deficit and locked up a 24-20 lead following Collins’ 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter in last week’s game at Tennessee. Collins ran for 154 yards and totaled two touchdowns, a season-high.  The 150-yard performance was the third in a row Collins, making him just the third player in program history to accomplish the feat. The active SEC leader in rushing yards, Collins (2,782) is just five yards away from James Rouse (2,887) for sixth in all-time career rushing yards at Arkansas.

The show will be carried throughout the state of Arkansas on the Razorback Sports Network and in Fayetteville on 92.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
