Siow swims 200 breast at Worlds

ROME, Italy. — The University of Arkansas’ Yi-Ting Siow, in the pool for her home country of Malaysia, swam in her third and final event of the 13th FINA World Championships in Rome, Italy, finishing 40th in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 2:32.09.Siow, who holds the Malaysian record in the 200-meter breast and the Razorback record in the 200-yard breast, was back in the pool for the first time in the three days after being disqualified in the 100-meter breast event on Tuesday.

Siow also competed in the 200 individual medley where she finished 36th in a time of 2:17.02.

Friday will be the last day of the championships for the Razorbacks as the Republic of the Philippines’ Erica Totten returns to action for the fourth time in the 800-meter freestyle. The championship meet wraps up Aug. 2.
