Six Razorbacks Earn Phil Steele All-SEC Honors
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Six Arkansas student-athletes earned 2025 Phil Steele All-SEC honors, as WR O’Mega Blake, OL Fernando Carmona, TE Rohan Jones, DL Quincy Rhodes Jr., LB Xavian Sorey Jr. and RB Mike Washington Jr. all received recognition, the publication announced Thursday.
Washington Jr. headlined the Hogs with second-team honors while Carmona earned third-team All-SEC praise. Blake, Jones, Rhodes Jr. and Sorey Jr. all earned fourth-team all-league recognition.
Blake started all 12 games in 2025 at wide receiver while catching a team-leading 58 passes for 769 yards and five touchdowns. The Rock Hill, S.C. product, had a season-high 121 receiving yards and one touchdown on seven receptions during the Hogs’ 52-7 season-opening win over Alabama A&M on Aug. 30. Blake registered a receiving touchdown in each of the Razorback’ first three games of the season and additionally went over the 100-yard mark and scored a touchdown during a loss to Texas A&M on Oct. 18, courtesy of seven catches for 118 yards. He registered multiple receptions in 11 of his 12 games played in 2025.
Carmona recently earned All-SEC honors from the league’s coaches for the second consecutive year after being selected to the third team a year ago. With back-to-back All-SEC nods, Carmona is the first Razorback offensive lineman to earn All-SEC honors in consecutive years since Frank Ragnow in 2016-17. He started in all 25 games on the offensive line during his two seasons as a Razorback and finished his collegiate career with a 49-game start streak dating back to his redshirt freshman season at San Jose State in 2022. The Las Vegas, Nev., product was part of an Arkansas offensive line that blocked for 5,102 yards of total offense and paved the way for six games of 500+ yards of total offense during the 2025 season. Additionally, Carmona and the Hogs allowed 29 sacks, which was the fewest by an Arkansas team since 2019 (19 sacks). Carmona played a big role in blocking for Mike Washington Jr., who rushed for 1,070 total yards, becoming the Razorbacks’ first 1,000-yard rusher since Raheim “Rocket” Sanders in 2022.
Jones made an immediate impact in his lone season as a Razorback. The Montreal, Quebec, Canada, product hauled in 19 receptions for 519 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing twice for 10 yards and a touchdown this season. He became just the fourth Arkansas tight end to register 500+ yards receiving in a single season, alongside Hunter Henry, DJ Williams, and Chris Gragg. Jones’ 27.3 yards per reception were the most by a tight end with 15 or more receptions in a season in FBS history. To be considered for the NCAA record books, a minimum of 30 receptions is required. Jones led Arkansas in receiving yards in three games during the 2025 season, highlighted by a career-high 127 yards on three receptions in a loss to Auburn on Oct. 25. Jones is the first Arkansas tight end to earn All-SEC honors since Hunter Henry in 2015
Rhodes Jr. had a breakout junior season in 2025, tallying 44 total tackles with a team-leading 15.5 tackles for loss in addition to eight sacks, six quarterback hurries, and a forced fumble. His 15.5 tackles for loss were the most by an Arkansas defender since Trey Flowers (15.5 TFL) in 2015. He also became the first Hog to register double-digit tackles in a season since Landon Jackson (13.5 TFL) in 2023 and was the first Razorback to record three multi-sack games in a season since Tre Williams in 2021. Rhodes finished the regular season ranking 13th nationally and second in the SEC in tackles for loss per game (1.23) and 23rd nationally in sacks per game (0.67). The North Little Rock native tallied six tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and a forced fumble against Mississippi State on Nov. 1. He was one of three Power 4 defenders to register 4.5 tackles for loss in a game this season, alongside Stephen Daley of Indiana and Caden Curry of Ohio State. Additionally, his 4.5 tackles for loss were the most in a single game by an Arkansas defender since 2005.
Sorey Jr. started all 12 games for the Razorbacks while tallying a team-leading 81 tackles, including seven and a half tackles for loss, two and a half sacks, one interception, three pass breakups, three quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. The Campbellton, Fla., native was the Razorbacks’ outright leader in tackles during three games this season, highlighted by a career-high 15 stops in addition to an interception and a forced fumble during a win over Arkansas State on Sept. 6. Sorey also posted double-digit tackles during a 45-42 loss to Texas A&M on Oct. 18 when he made a team-high 11 tackles.
Washington Jr., became the 16th player in program history and first Razorback since Raheim “Rocket” Sanders in 2022 to register a 1,000+ yard rushing season after rushing 167 times for 1,070 yards and eight touchdowns in 2025. The Utica, N.Y. product tallied five 100+ yard rushing games while running for a touchdown in seven of the Hogs’ 12 games this season. He also became the first Razorback to reach 100+ rushing yards in back-to-back games against an SEC opponent since Alex Collins in 2015, after running for 131 yards at Tennessee (Oct. 11) and 147 yards against Texas A&M (Oct. 18). Washington Jr. also tallied 28 receptions for 226 yards and a touchdown during his 2025 campaign.
