Slaughter Named to SEC Community Service Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.  – Senior Claire Slaughter has been named Arkansas’ representative on the 2023 SEC Women’s Tennis Community Service Team, the league announced Wednesday.

Claire Slaughter has proven to be a leader among her team as well as in the community. She has given back to the community through a number of different events and has logged over 45 hours. Some of the ways she has given back are working with the Salvation Army, participating in campus donation drives, Support the Girls, summer beach cleans, and writing letters to veterans and University of Virginia student-athletes.

As the Vice President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Claire has helped organize and been a part of Book Hogs where student-athletes read at elementary school to encourage reading and Shop with the Razorbacks where student-athletes take local elementary school students to shop for holiday gifts.

Slaughter has been named to the Chancellor’s List for her academic success last semester and will graduate in May 2024 with her Bachelor of Science of Business Administration in Management and plans to attend law school after graduation. Claire has been named to the SEC Community Service Team the last three seasons as Arkansas’ representative.
