Erich Fortlage fired a 68 in round one Monday morning while John Daly II followed with a 68 in round two and Arkansas sits in seventh with a 3-over score of 571 (286-285) at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial, played at the University of Virginia’s Birdwood Golf Course (par 71).

John Daly II had four birdies with an eagle over his final five holes and was crowned champion of the one-day, 36-hole Columbia Spring Invitational, played at the par-70 Rolling Green Golf Club. All five Razorbacks placed among the top 20 to give the team a runner-up finish.

In a 17-team field that featured 14 of the nation’s top 45 programs – including five of the top eight, Arkansas finished 10th with an 8-under-par 844 (280-286-278) at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational, played in Palm City, Fla., at the par-71 Floridian National Golf Club.
