Facing one of the toughest fields in college golf, #7 Arkansas fired a final-round, 15-under-par 269 and tied a school record with a 54-hole total of 819 (-33) to place fourth at the 16-team Valspar Collegiate Invitational, played at the Floridian National Golf Club (par 71).

#7 Arkansas sits in fifth place after two rounds Monday in the stacked 16-team Valspar Collegiate Invitational with a 36-hole, 18-under-par score of 550 (270-280), played at the Floridian National Golf Club (par 71).

The seventh-ranked Arkansas men’s golf program, coming of a win at the All-American Intercollegiate earlier this week, returns to act on Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 23-24) at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational, played in Palm City, Fla., at the par 71 Floridian National Golf Club.

Four Razorbacks finished among the top 11 – including runner-up Erich Fortlage – and #4 Arkansas fired a 3-under-par 285 on Tuesday to win the All-American Intercollegiate by 12 strokes.

Competing in near unplayable conditions – cold and strong winds – day one (two rounds) of the All-American Intercollegiate saw high scores across the board with #4 Arkansas leading the way with a 21-over-par 597 (298-299). The team tournament is being played on the par 72 Tournament Course at the Golf Club of Houston.
