Julia Zalewski joined the Razorback Sports Nutrition staff in April 2021.
She came to Fayetteville after serving two years as Director of Sports Nutrition for the University of Tulsa (Jan. 2019-Mar. 2021).
Zalewski previously spent one season as the director of sports nutrition at New Mexico State University. Zalewski was the first full-time dietician at NMSU, where she was responsible for developing and implementing the sports nutrition program for all 15 intercollegiate teams.
She served one year as a Gatorade Fellow at Northwestern University, where she assisted with coordinating nutrition care for 19 teams with a focus on football, women’s baseball, women’s soccer and baseball. Before that, Zalewski was a graduate intern in sports nutrition at the University of Utah for one year.
Zalewski earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Olaf College in 2013 and two years later earned a second bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Minnesota. She received her master’s degree from Utah in nutrition and integrative physiology in May 2017.
