Weekend Events & Gameday Activations
It’s setting up to be a banner weekend in Fayetteville. Here’s a rundown of our bonus items, including some special 9/11 20th anniversary commemorative additions.
Friday Night
- Red Glow Friday: Get your favorite red shirt picked out and wear it proud.
- Baseball Fall Classic begins Friday at 6:00pm at Baum-Walker Stadium. Admission to the scrimmage is free for fans and food & beverages can be brought into the building. Fans should know, no concessions (food or drink) will be available for purchase at the scrimmage.
- Pep Rally at the Greek Theatre: Begins at 8:00pm and will be electric. If you have friends coming into town, this is a great spot to hit.
- Stadium Red Glow & Never Forget Lit Letters: Once the sun sets Friday evening the stadium will be lit red and there will be a special lit-lettered display of the words “Never Forget”.
- Come as you Arkansas! U of A 150th Anniversary: There are events going on throughout campus and the community on Friday to celebrate 150 years of the University of Arkansas. Check them out here.
- Pick Our Your Stripe Out Shirt: Make sure you know whether you’re in a red shirt or white shirt section to participate in our stadium Stripe Out. Click here to view the map.
In Advance of the Game
- 6:00am: Parking lots open
- 8:00am: Marty & McGee kickoff gameday festivities with the airing of their show beginning at 8:00am in Lot 44.
- 9:00am: SEC Nation will be broadcasting live from Lot 44 on the north side of the stadium. The show, featuring Laura Rutledge, Tim Tebow, Roman Harper, Jordan Rodgers and Paul Finebaum, runs from 9:00am – 11:00am and will certainly be a good time.
- 2:00pm: HogTown on Maple Street kicks off. Enjoy live music from the Funk Factory, a beer garden, food trucks, big screen TVs playing other games and much more. This is a terrific pregame destination for fans of all ages.
- 3:45pm: Hog Walk begins in Lot 44.
- 4:10pm: Drumline performance outside Gate 14
- 4:30pm: Public stadium gates open
- With a max-capacity crowd expected, please allow plenty of extra time for your arrival to the game and extra time for getting into the stadium.
9/11 20th Anniversary Commemoration
- Crowd-Sung National Anthem: We invite all fans to sing aloud the words of The Star-Spangled Banner as the Razorback Marching Band plays the National Anthem.
- 70 uniformed ROTC Cadets will present a 75×150 foot flag as of the National Anthem.
- Moment of Silence that pays tribute to those who perished in the events of 9/11/01 including the 7 from the State of Arkansas and 16 from State of Texas
- Following the anthem, the Bulldog Flight team will perform a flyover.
Stadium Light Show & Patriotic Sing-a-Long
- 2nd Half Kickoff Lightshow: We need to get DWRRS back rocking and the 2nd half will start with a stadium-wide light show to the song Zombie Nation.
- 3rd Quarter Sing-A-Long and Lightshow to Lee Greenwood’s Proud to Be an American. A synchronized red, white and blue light show will play while all 76,000 of us sing along to this patriotic fan-favorite. This light show will use your screen’s phone, not the flashlight like normal.
How to Participate in the stadium light shows?
- Make sure you have the Razorback App downloaded on your phone. If you don’t, click the button below to make sure you can participate.
- Next, you’ll want to click on the “Light Show & Trivia” icon.
- If you haven’t participated before, your phone will then prompt you to “enable your camera and microphone”. This allows for your phone to hear the light show indicator and work properly.
- Next, all you need to do is have your phone out and ready to participate.
- Tip: Make sure you have your notifications on the app turned on because we will send a push notification reminder to give you a heads up.
