Fall Schedule Begins Oct. 11 at Bogle Park
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – In preparation of its 2016 season, the University of Arkansas softball team is scheduled to play eight games as part of its fall season. Highlighted by four home dates and a trio of doubleheaders, the Razorbacks’ fall slate is set to begin on their home field Oct. 11 against Oklahoma State. All games at Bogle Park are open and free to the public.

Oct. 11 vs Oklahoma State (DH) – 1/3 p.m.
Oct. 15 vs Butler CC – 4 p.m.
Oct. 21 vs Crowder (DH) – 4/6 p.m.
Oct. 28 vs St. Gregory’s – 4 p.m.
Oct. 31 at Oklahoma (DH) – 12/2 p.m.
The Razorbacks are under the direction of first-year head coach Courtney Deifel who became the fourth head coach in program history when she was hired in June. She is assisted by Boo De Oliveira and Yolanda McRae. De Oliveira spent the past two seasons as the pitching coach at Arizona State while McRae was part of Deifel’s staff at Maryland that helped orchestrate a 16-game improvement last season.
Arkansas will be led on the field by its senior class of Stephanie Canfield, Claire Clark and Kate James. As the team’s top returning hitter, Canfield carried a .320 batting average in 2015 with 13 extra-base hits to go along with 16 stolen bases. Clark appeared in 44 games last season with 21 starts and had 10 hits while James made 13 starts behind the plate and had two home runs during the 2015 season.
