Football Matters Interview With Jeff Long

Jeff Long has come a long way from third grade flag football. He played his college ball at Division III Ohio Wesleyan and moved into coaching after finishing school. The current Arkansas Athletic Director is also the first Chairman of the College Football Playoff Committee.

Long has been a football lifer and has worked on coaching staffs with everyone from Bo Schembechler to Les Miles. He’s led Arkansas to success on the field and in the classroom during his tenure as Athletic Director. And, as Chairman of the College Football Playoff Committee, he has helped usher in a new era of College Football.

Long talked with us about his beginnings in the sport, working with Michigan legend Schembechler, and what football has meant to him.
