FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – John Register was at the peak of his athletic career, gearing up for the Olympics, when a training accident led to the amputation of his left leg, changing his life forever. Register was honored by the Arkansas Alumni Association last year as the fifth Johnson Fellow, a program created to bring esteemed alumni back to campus to engage and inspire students.
