Goins Named MAC Hermann Semifinalist

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback forward Parker Goins was named a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, the Missouri Athletic Club announced on Tuesday afternoon. Goins is the second Razorback in program history to be named a semifinalist for the award, which honors the National Player of the Year in Division I.

Goins, the reigning SEC Midfielder of the year, is a first-time semifinalist for the award. She led the Razorbacks in assists with 14, and has tallied up 38 in her career, a school record. Her 11 goals this year helped Arkansas win 14 straight matches, a program record. She also led the team in shots (80) and shots on goal (37). Her 80 shots were second-best in the SEC. She started all 24 matches, logging a career-best 1,657 minutes.

She was joined on the MAC Hermann Watch List released earlier in the fall by past semifinalist Anna Podojil.

Goins is one of 15 student-athletes on the women’s side to be named a semifinalist.

Three finalists will be announced Wednesday, Dec. 8, with the winner announced on Jan. 7, 2022.

Arkansas wrapped up its season last Friday following the program’s first Elite 8 appearance.
