FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas’ men’s track & field team will finish out its regular season hosting the Arkansas Qualifier and sending a distance medley relay team to Winston-Salem, North Carolina to compete at the JDL DMR Invitational, both taking place Friday, Feb. 15.

With the Arkansas qualifier taking place during the opening game of the 2019 Razorback Baseball season, parking will differ a little from the previous meets this season. Spectators are advised to use parking lot #99 off Beachwood Ave. located northwest of the Tyson Center. Parking for the Arkansas Qualifier can be found here.

At last weekend’s Tyson Invitational and Husky Classic, Arkansas picked up three NCAA top-20 new or improved marks in the 60-meter hurdles, 3,000-meters, and 5,000-meters. Carl Elliot III ran the 19th-best mark in the NCAA this season at 7.81 that currently sits as the fifth-best in program history. Gilbert Boit posted the 18th-fastest 5K in the nation this season at the Husky Classic that catapulted him up the all-time list to No. 7 in program history, while Cameron Griffith ran 7:52.79 that sits at No. 17 in the NCAA.

Following the conference meets next weekend, the 16-best performers in each event (top-12 for relays) qualify for the national meet. Following a declaration and acceptance process athletes below the top-16 can move up if a better performer opts out.

In addition to the Razorbacks, additional teams competing in Fayetteville this weekend include Arkansas Baptist, Cal Poly, Christian Bros., Emporia State, Kansas, Missouri Southern, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, Pittsburgh, Rogers State, Southwest Baptist, Tulsa, and Wichita State

Racing at the JDL DMR Invitational, Arkansas’ distance medley relay team will include a combination of Ethan Moehn, Cameron Griffith, Colin O’Mara, Kieran Taylor and John Winn.
