Soccer Set for Five Spring Matches

FAYETTEVILLE –  Razorback Soccer is back for a slate of five spring matches. Three of the five exhibitions will be on the road, with Arkansas facing Kansas State and Oral Roberts at Razorback Field.

The schedule kicks off on Saturday, March 11 in Columbia, Missouri where the Hogs will face SEC foe Missouri at 5:30 p.m. at Audrey J. Walton Soccer Stadium. The two teams last met in 2021, when then-No. 6 Arkansas defeated the Tigers, 6-1.

The Hogs will return to Razorback Field for the first home exhibition and face Kansas State on April 2 at noon. The two teams squared off in Manhattan, Kansas last spring. Five days later, the Razorbacks return for a late-night match against Oral Roberts at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 7.

Arkansas will head to Norman, Oklahoma to face the Sooners on April 15 at 1 p.m. The Hogs defeated OU, 6-1, for their first win last season. The squad will finish out the schedule and face Illinois in St. Louis, Missouri on April 23 at 5 p.m.

Both home matches will be free and open to the public.

“We like our spring schedule,” head coach Colby Hale said. “We wanted to be strategic and make sure we played some road matches versus teams that will test us and that is good for us. We know we are a work in progress, and this will help us end in the spring in a better spot than we started.”

The Hogs finished the 2022 season ranked No. 8 and ended the campaign in the NCAA Tournament Elite 8 for the second consecutive year.
