Vavrinova Wins Big In Puerto Rico International Swim Open
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas swimmer Adela Vavrinova competed last weekend (Oct. 29) in the Puerto Rico International Swim Open at San Juan Natatorium. Vavrinova swam for her home country of Czech Republic, where she posted three wins in the 100 Individual Medley, 200 Individual Medley, and 100 Freestyle. Adela logged times of 1:01.52 in the 100 Individual Medley, 55.70 in the 100 Freestyle, and 2:15.49 in the 200 Individual Medley. Her times in the 100 Individual Medley and 100 Freestyle were personal best. In addition to posting those times, Vavrinova missed the Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) A-Cut for World Champs by 0.3 in the 100 Individual Medley.
What’s Next
Vavrinova and the Razorbacks travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to compete in the Tennessee Invite on November 18.
