Razorbacks Take Over Spain

MADRID, SPAIN – The Arkansas men’s basketball team closed out its first full day in Spain Sunday evening as it begins a 10-day journey to play four games in three different cities.

The Razorbacks departed Bud Walton Arena Saturday morning at 9:45 a.m. CDT and began a day-long journey to their destination in Madrid. After a brief layover in Atlanta, the Hogs flew through the night and landed in Spain Sunday morning at 8 a.m. local time.

After a few stops to see the sights and sounds, dinner was inside Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid C.F., where Dusty Hannahs and Manuale Watkins sported their new Cristiano Ronaldo jerseys.

A full day is on tap Monday with a morning sight-seeing trip to Toledo to see Cathedral of St. Mary, Church of Santo Tome, and the Jewish Quarter.

The afternoon is all business as the FIBA basketballs come out and the players get acclimated to hoops on the other side of the pond.
