Razorbacks Set to Square Off With Auburn Tigers

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks are set to take on a top-15 ranked Auburn team to open the second half of the season as they round out their winter training trip. The team began the season with a bang, dominating their early meets and competing with other talented squads, and the Hogs are looking to keep the momentum going.

“We have had a tough and challenging week of training in South Florida,” said Head Swimming Coach Neil Harper. He posited that “it will be great to travel to Auburn to experience the competition pool for SECs here next month.” Not only will the team have an opportunity to compete at the site of next month’s SEC Championships, but they will also get to compete against a very solid SEC opponent in the Auburn Tigers. “Auburn will be a great challenge for us,” but “if we get a total team effort, some individual wins in the pool, and some wins on the boards, we can make it a great meet,” stated Coach Harper. The Razorback team is comprised of 40% freshmen this season, and Coach Harper is looking to them to give the team an extra edge: “their confidence and gained experience is what we are looking for as we focus on SECs in less than six weeks.”

The meet will begin at 12:00pm CST at the James E Martin Natatorium in Auburn, Alabama.

Tuesday’s meet at Auburn will be streamed on SEC Network Plus.
