Freshman (2020-21)
Cech kicked off the season in the tri-meet against Missouri and Missouri State with a fifth-place finish in the 1000 fee (10:11.38) and a sixth-place finish in the 500 free (5:00.63). Hannah continued to improve at the Mizzou Invitational competing in the 500 free (4:53.92), 400 IM (4:21.16), and the 1650 free (16:52.28). At the SEC Championships, Hannah’s time in the 1650 free (16:48.28) was a personal best.
Prior to Arkansas
Cech is a four-time YMCA Nationals qualifier, a three-time qualifier for the Ohio high school swimming championships and a two-time Winter Junior Nationals qualifier… In 2017, the West Chester, Ohio, native, won the mile (17:51.14) at the Great Lakes Zones YMCA Championships… In 2018, she went onto win the long course YMCA Nationals in the 400IM. Cech was a runner-up in the 400 IM at the 2019 Long Course YMCA Nationals… She is currently fifth in the state in the 500 free, eighth in the 200 IM and holds the 200 IM (2:04.36), 500 free (4:54.03) and 100 free (52.26) record at her high school … Cech was nominated for the 2020 Athlete of the Year in her school’s conference.

Born on February 2, 2002… Daughter of Randy and Paula Cech… Has one sister Laura Evans… Majoring in exercise science.
