As a Junior (2021-22)
Matalone finished fourth at the SMU Invitational as she scored 253.70 in the 3-meter dive. In addition, she finished third in the 3-meter dive at Kansas, where she scored 239.25. Matalone finished fourth in the 1-meter dive at Kansas with a score of 201.45.

Prior to Arkansas
Three-year letter winner at Haas Hall Academy… Helped lead the Mastiffs to state championships her sophomore and junior years… Was a state runner-up in the 1 meter her sophomore year and was the state champion in the 1 meter her junior year… Was also a level 9  gymnast… Dove for club team Hawg Diving Club.

Reason For Choosing Arkansas
“Loved the academic and financial opportunities with the Honors College. Wanted to challenge myself athletically, didn’t have but two years of experience with diving when I graduated high school. So I wanted to see what I’m really capable of when given the opportunity to work hard and push myself.”

Personal
Born in Houston, Texas, daughter of Jim and Annamarie Matalone… Has one older brother… Double majoring in Physics and computer science… Matalone is also a National Merit Finalist.
