Volleyball Closes Out Home Slate Against Mississippi Schools
FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas volleyball team continues its home-stint against the Mississippi schools this weekend when they host Ole Miss on Friday night and Mississippi State on Sunday afternoon. Head volleyball coach Jason Watson will host a Chalk Talk on Friday afternoon before the match at the Bev Lewis Center starting at 6 p.m.
Last week, Arkansas dropped a heartbreaker to Tennessee on Wednesday, jumping out to a 2-1 match lead and falling in five (25-16, 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-8) despite Gillen’s fifth 20+ kill performance of the season. The Hogs bounced back and battled through a five-set victory against Alabama on Sunday (25-22, 18-25, 25-18, 22-25, 17-15). Gillen recorded her sixth 20+ kill performance (28) and second double-double of the week with 13 digs.
