2022 Arkansas cross country schedule announced

FAYETTEVILLE – The Razorbacks 2022 cross country season will include three visits to Oklahoma State, who will host the NCAA Championships this fall.

Arkansas races at Agri Park, the Razorbacks home course, during the Chile Pepper Festival on Friday, September 30. Among four college races on the first day of the two-day meet, the men’s featured race will be held at 5 p.m. with an earlier division racing 3:45 p.m.

The first visit to Stillwater, Oklahoma, will have the Razorbacks racing over a 5,000m distance at the Cowboy Preview on September 1.

On October 15, Arkansas returns to OSU for the Weis-Crockett Invitational, which will feature elite teams as the meet serves as the site of the Pre-Nationals in 2022.

Championship season over the past two years has produced the same results for the Razorbacks on the conference and national levels. Arkansas has claimed the past two SEC team titles and earned team trophies for placing fourth in the NCAA Championships.

The Razorbacks travel to Oxford, Mississippi, for the SEC Championships on October 28. In addition to winning the past two league team titles, Arkansas has totaled a conference record 27 titles overall.

A visit to College Station, Texas, on November 11 will have the Razorbacks competing in the NCAA South Central Region meet.

On November 19, OSU hosts the NCAA meet at its Griener Family course for the second time in two years, having held the 2020 version of the meet in March of 2021 due to delays with covid.
