Arkansas Twilight offers tune-up prior to conference meets

FAYETTEVILLE – No. 5 Razorbacks host the Arkansas Twilight on Friday, May 3rd, at John McDonnell Field with 24 schools represented among the field.

In addition to Arkansas, visiting schools include Abilene Christian, Ave Maria, Central Arkansas, Creighton, Crowder, Florida International, Hill (Tx), Jacksonville (Tx), John Brown (Ar), Kansas, Little Rock, Missouri State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma Christian, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, Rice, Southeast Missouri, Texas A&M-Commerce, ULM, and UT Dallas.

Arkansas seniors will be recognized starting at 4:25 p.m. and the winner of the trip to Paris will be announced at 4:57 p.m. Field events start at 10:45 a.m. while running events begin at 5 p.m.

The meet serves as a final tune-up before various conference meets start next week. The Razorbacks will also use the meet as a final selection process for making the Arkansas squad that competes in the SEC Championships next week in Gainesville, Florida.

Arkansas alums Hunter Woodhall and James Milholen are scheduled to race in the 400m, where they are stationed in the third section along with Razorbacks Connor Washington and Brandon Battle.

The Arkansas hurdle crew will be in full force for the 110m hurdles, led by Tai Brown. Other Razorbacks in the event include Brevin Sims, Elijah Morris, William Spencer, and Yariel Soto Torrado.

James Benson II and Tevijon Williams headline the field in the 200m.

Racing at 800m are Riley Wells, Elias Schreml, Ethan Carney and Isaac Carney in the fourth section. The trio of Luke George, Wyatt Green, and Jadon Bartholomew compete in the third section.

Lind Lindsey will contest the long jump. Decathletes Jack Turner and Soto Torrado are scheduled for the discus and pole vault.
