Battle For The Boot Gametime and TV
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Just a few hours removed from a convincing 31-10 win over No. 10 Florida, Arkansas’ annual Battle for the Golden Boot with LSU on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium will kick off at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN, the SEC office unveiled late Saturday night.
Arkansas’ win over Florida marked its third victory this season over a team ranked nationally in the top 15 of the Associated Press poll, which is tied for the most in the nation with Alabama. The Razorbacks are 6-3 on the season and could potentially play their fifth straight ranked team and seventh this season next Saturday against LSU.
Behind 299 yards on the ground, Arkansas won in Baton Rouge last season, 31-14, to hold on to the “Golden Boot” for the second straight year. It marked just the second time since the Golden Boot was introduced into the rivalry (1996) that the Razorbacks had won back-to-back games against LSU.
Arkansas will be looking for its third straight win over the Tigers, which hasn’t happened since 1927-29. In the last meeting between the two programs in Fayetteville in 2014, Arkansas posted a 17-0 shutout of LSU for head coach Bret Bielema’s first SEC win.
