Fastest Kid In Fayetteville Returns To John McDonnell Field

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The nationally-ranked Arkansas men’s and women’s track and field teams are on a mission to find the ‘Fastest Kid in Fayetteville!’

The Razorbacks welcome children ages 6-13 to participate in a 100-meter dash race at the upcoming National Relay Championships on Saturday, April 27th at 12:00 p.m. at John McDonnell Field.

Parents can register their children for the event by clicking here. All interested participants are required to register by 5 p.m. CT on Monday, April 22. Further information about the event will be sent out following your registration.

Prizes/Awards

Every child entered in the race will receive an official Arkansas track and field ‘Fastest Kid in Fayetteville’ t-shirt.

The races will be divided into two age groups with 6-9 and 10-12. The 6-9 age group will compete first with nine children racing at a time. The 10-12 age group will begin directly after and will also feature nine children racing at a time. Upon completion of both age groups, medals will be awarded to the fastest boy and girl in each age group. Men’s head coach Chris Bucknam and women’s head coach Lance Harter will present the fastest overall performer with a trophy.

All competitors are encouraged to attend the National Relay Championships and cheer on their favorite Razorbacks throughout the competition.
