Jackson Earns SEC Freshman of the Week Honor

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Razorback freshman Tylin Jackson was selected as SEC Freshman of the Week following his indoor career best in the 200m during the Arkansas Qualifier.

Jackson posted a time of 21.09, his fourth PR in the event this season, to finish as the top collegian and second overall to Arkansas alum Kenzo Cotton, who won in 20.84.

From Lancaster, Texas, Jackson will return to his home state this weekend as the No. 10 Razorbacks compete in the SEC Indoor Championships, held Feb. 28-29 in College Station.

Updated national team index ratings, which configure a school’s scoring potential at the national championships, moved Arkansas up one spot to No. 10 this week. Northern Arizona remains No. 1 followed by LSU, Florida, Texas, Oregon, Georgia, Texas Tech, Tennessee and Florida State.

In conference team index ratings, which measure the depth of a team and how they would score against conference opponents, the Razorbacks are ranked No. 1 ahead of Texas A&M, Florida, LSU, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky.
