Men’s Tennis to host doubleheader against UAPB

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorback men’s tennis team will host a pair of matches this weekend when it welcomes Arkansas Pine Bluff to the Billingsley Tennis Center for a doubleheader. Arkansas will face UAPB on Saturday with first serves scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The Golden Lions are 0-2 to open their spring slate of matches. In its most recent outing, UAPB fell to North Alabama in Florence, Ala., 6-0, on Feb. 29.

The Razorbacks battled against No. 14 Ole Miss in their SEC home opener on Mar. 1, but eventually fell to the Rebels, 4-3. Arkansas won the doubles point for the third time in four matches, including a win from Maxim Verboven and Enrique Paya over the then 40th-ranked pairing of Sandkaulen and Reynolds.

Alex Reco and Enrique Paya both picked up singles wins at the No. 2 and No. 5 spots, respectively. The two have combined for a record of 17-2 this dual season with Paya on a six-match win streak and Reco earning his third ranked win of the spring.
