No. 8 Soccer to host North Texas in first round of NCAA Tournament

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – National three-seed Arkansas Soccer (16-3-2, 8-1-1) will host the North Texas Mean Green (15-5-1, 7-2-1) at Razorback Field in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, Nov. 15, with first kick slated for 6:30 p.m. CT. The Razorbacks are making their fourth-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and sixth overall.

North Texas picked up an automatic bid to the tournament with its 5-2 win over Florida Atlantic, the top seed in the C-USA Tournament, in the championship game on Sunday, Nov. 10. The Mean Green have outscored opponents 46-14 in 2019, including a 19.3-7.6 advantage in shots per game.

Junior forward Berklee Peters leads North Texas with 14 goals this season, including three that came in the C-USA Tournament.

The Razorbacks advanced to the SEC title game in Orange Beach, Ala. for the fourth-straight year with wins over Ole Miss and Florida.
