No. 8 Women’s Golf to Play in The Bruzzy

ARDMORE, Okla. – The No. 8 Arkansas women’s golf team will wrap up the regular season, as the team will play at The Bruzzy hosted by North Texas from Saturday, March 30 to Sunday, March 31. The tournament will be played at Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

This tournament features 54 holes across two days, with 36 being played on Saturday on the par 70, 6,071-yard course. Arkansas will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on both days. The Hogs’ appearance in The Bruzzy is the first in program history and the fifth annual event hosted by North Texas. Arkansas is one of 12 teams in the field that features six within the top 60 in the latest Scoreboard by Clippd rankings.

Reagan Zibilski will be No. 1 in the lineup in Oklahoma. This will mark her eighth tournament appearance of the season, in which she has earned three top 20 finishes, including a career-best 11th place showing at the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic, logging a 2-under 214 (72-72-70). Zibilski is coming off tying for 23rd at the MountainView Collegiate, in which she finished with a 1-over 217 (72-72-73). The sophomore has a 72.75 scoring average with 11 rounds at par or better.

Kendall Todd has been a consistent piece in the lineup during the spring season and will highlight the No. 2 spot. She has registered two top 10 finishes and four inside the top 20, including a tie for eighth with a 1-under 212 (71-74-67) at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. Todd is coming off a tie for 34th with a 3-over 219 (76-73-70) at the MountainView Collegiate. She is going into the weekend with a 72.50 scoring average and 10 rounds at par or better.

Miriam Ayora will play at No. 3, appearing in all eight tournaments this season. Ayora is ranked No. 66 in the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd rankings. She has finished in the top 30 in all but one tournament this season with her best performance coming in the Blessings Collegiate with a 4-under 140 (70-70) to tally third. Ayora tied for 49th at the MountainView Collegiate with a 7-over 223 (75-72-76). She leads the Hogs with 73 birdies and holds the second-best scoring average (72.45) and rounds at par or better (13) on the team.

Ela Anacona has made her fourth straight lineup and will play in her seventh tournament this season. The graduate has registered two top 10 finishes this season, highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the Blessings Collegiate with a 3-under 141 (68-73). Anacona will surpass 100 career rounds played this weekend and is coming off a tie for 67th with a 13-over 229 (72-78-79) at the MountainView Collegiate. She has a 73.65 scoring average with seven rounds at par or better.

Kajal Mistry is back in the lineup, playing at the No. 5 spot. She has played in four tournaments for 11 rounds, registering a 73.18 scoring average and two top 20 finishes during her graduate season. Mistry’s best showing this season came at the Carmel Cup, in which she finished an even 216 (71-69-76) to tie for 16th. The graduate has played in 118 rounds for a 73.73 career scoring average.

The Hogs are coming off the team’s fifth top five finish of the season after tying for fourth at the MountainView Collegiate with a 1-under 863 (291-283-289).

Arkansas will take on postseason with the SEC Championship at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida from Friday, April 12 to Tuesday, April 16. Three rounds of stroke play will take place across the first three days with the top eight advancing to match play, which will occur on that Monday and Tuesday.
