Perry Selected to SEC Good Works Team

FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas senior pitcher/utility player Blaire Perry was named to the Southeastern Conference Good Works Team, the organization announced Tuesday, May 9.

The Good Works Team honors student-athletes for their involvement in community service projects. Perry has served as a counselor at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Kids-N-Motion camps. The Vancouver, Wash., native has also tutored students at Asbell Elementary and is a member of Sweathogs.

Lady Razorback softball head coach Jamie Pinkerton said he believed Perry is worthy of the recognition because of her commitment to the community.

“Blaire is very deserving,” she said. “She does a lot of work in the community. I think it’s only fitting for her to make the good works team her senior year.”

On the field, Perry is leading the Lady’Back offense with 49 hits and a .299 batting average. In the circle, Perry posts 88 strikeouts and a 2.89 ERA.
