Pre-Qualifying Singles Draw | Pre-Qualifying Singles Consolation Draw

TULSA, Okla. – Six Razorbacks were in action, as the ITA All-American got underway Saturday in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the first and second rounds of pre-qualifying singles play.

Adam Sanjurjo, the No. 9 seed in his quarter of the draw, won both his first and second round matches, advancing to tomorrow’s Round of 64 against Artem Kapshuk of Temple. With two wins tomorrow, he will advance to Wednesday’s qualifying singles draw.

“Overall, it was a positive day for us,” head coach Andy Jackson said. “Adam and Johan (den Toom) played well in both their matches.”

Johan den Toom also picked up a win for the Razorbacks, defeating Wake Forest’s Sean Hill in the Round of 256, before falling in the Round of 128. The other four Razorbacks competing, Jacob Herndon, Juan Marino, Branch Terrell and Austin Robles, dropped their respective Round of 256 matches.

Pre-qualifying singles play will conclude tomorrow with the Round of 64 and Round of 32 matches and Round of 128 consolation matches. The 16 winners from the Round of 32 matches will advance to qualifying singles play, which begins Monday. Qualifying doubles play will also begin Monday, and the main draw singles and doubles contests get underway Thursday.

The tournament will have live scoring available, beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and live streaming will also be available for pre-qualifying and qualifying round matches and main draw matches.

Results will be posted at the conclusion of each day throughout the tournament.
