Gymbacks Face Off Against Gators Friday Night on ESPN

The Arkansas Gymnastics team is in for another top 15 conference match-up as the No. 13 Razorbacks take on the No. 6 Florida Gators in Gainesville on Friday night.

Florida is in a three-way tie for second in the conference with a 2-1 record, while Arkansas is 2-1-1 through its four SEC meets. The Gators have scored 197+ in every meet so far and are ranked in the top 10 on vault (No. 7) and beam (No. 4). Arkansas outranks Florida on floor – its highest event placement so far – with a 49.456 average, good for fourth in the nation.

Friday’s contest has been upgraded to air live on ESPN on Friday, with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT. 2008 Olympic silver medalist and 17x NCAA All-American Samantha Peszek and three-time Olympian John Roethlisberger will be on the call.

Friday is the first meet of 2024 to air on ESPN, and one of six slated to air on ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU this regular season. The meet will also be simulcast on SEC Network upon the conclusion of the LSU/Georgia meet, which begins at 5 p.m. CT. Live stats will be provided via StatBroadcast.

Scouting the Series: Florida

  • Friday’s meeting will be the 55th between the Hogs and Gators. Florida is tied with Alabama as Arkansas’ longest-standing opponent
