Maddie Jones Named to SEC Community Service Team

For the second consecutive year, Maddie Jones has been named to the SEC Community Service Team, the conference announced on Friday.

Maddie has been dedicated to community engagement since her arrival on campus in 2021 and has been a member of Arkansas’ student-athlete advisory committee every year since. As a junior, she is serving as SAAC’s community relations chair, coordinating events and hours for the gymnastics team and beyond along with monthly meetings. She is heavily involved with outreach programs in the Northwest Arkansas Area such as Book Hogs, Shop with the Razorbacks and the Arkansas Food Drive.

Maddie has been a key player in continuing Arkansas’ GiveBack initiative, now in its third season, in which the Gymbacks select causes near and dear to them and pledge financial support and awareness throughout the season, benefitting the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Hospital, LifeStyles Inc. and the NWA Women’s Shelter.

She also works closely with student-athlete development to put on events like the Hogspys, Arkansas’ annual awards and social event for student-athletes.

In addition to adding another event in balance beam this season and her community service activities, Maddie stays busy as an Arkansas football creative intern, assisting in photo, video, and editing duties with the Razorbacks. She also contributes her video skills to gymnastics each week and shoots Razorback Rundown, a weekly series that is almost entirely student-athlete-produced for the Razorback Gymnastics social media channels.
