No. 7 Arkansas Hosts Regular Season Finale

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The No. 7 Arkansas men’s track and field team will close out its regular season at home in Fayetteville on Friday, May 5, hosting the Arkansas Twilight at John McDonnell Field.

Teams making the trip to Northwest Arkansas this weekend include Arkansas Baptist, Oklahoma Christian, Oklahoma State, Rogers State, Southern Nazarene, Tulsa and UT Arlington.

Events to Watch

200 Meters: Features All-Americans Kenzo Cotton and Josh Washington. Cotton currently has the best all-conditions performance in the best this season with his 20.59 from the John McDonnell Invitational.

400 Meters: Features All-Americans Eric Janise and Jamarco Stephen. Both Janise and Stephen are currently among the top-40 best in the NCAA West region but are in the hunt to join teammate Obi Igbokwe inside the top-10.

Hurdles: Features All-Americans Larry Donald and Kemar Mowatt taking on the 110-meter hurdles. Donald is also entered in the 400-meter hurdles and will look to solidify his status among the intermediate hurdle elite with a sub-51 second performance on Friday evening. Mowatt currently leads the nation in the 400 hurdles with his 49.09 performance from the SEC Relays.

The meet will get underway at 1:30 p.m. CT with Erich Sullins in the hammer throw. Running events will kick off at 6 p.m. CT with the men’s 4-x-100-meter relay.
