#ProHogs In The NFL - Week 10 Report

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Here’s a look at how the 14 former Arkansas football players active on NFL rosters fared this past weekend in Week 10 of the NFL season.

BEST OF WEEK 10

Dre Greenlaw, LB, San Francisco 49ers

“Big Play Dre” showed his big-play skills in front of a national audience Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks. Dre Greenlaw, a former Fayetteville High and Razorback standout, has been a mainstay on the San Francisco defense since he arrived at training camp in August and broke through again last night in the loss to Seattle. In overtime with the Seahawks in the red zone, Greenlaw picked off a Russell Wilson pass at the five-yard line and returned it 47 yards to give his team a chance to win the game. Even though the offense stalled out and gave San Francisco its first loss of the year, Greenlaw’s play was, at the time, the play of the game. Greenlaw has benefitted from a season-ending injury to a fellow linebacker and played all but three defensive snaps last night, totaling a season-high eight tackles, which doubled his previous high of four set in Week’s 1, 2 and 9. Greenlaw has started five of nine games this year and is expected to be starting more in the latter half of the season. Monday night’s interception was his first of his career and he now has 27 tackles this year, 21 being solo stops.

Trey Flowers, DE, Detroit Lions

Trey Flowers has picked up the pace in recent weeks and continued to show why he is one of the better defensive ends in the NFL last week against Chicago. Flowers totaled seven tackles in 50 defensive snaps and also had two tackles for loss and two quarterback hits. One of his tackles for loss came on a big third-down play that prevented the Bears from kicking a field goal in the fourth quarter. The seven stops were Flowers’ most since he brought down eight tackles against Philadelphia in a Week 3 win, but the Lions have lost five of their last six and are at the bottom of the NFC North Division. Flowers does have six tackles for loss this year, including two in each of the last two weeks, and the six stops behind the line of scrimmage ties for the most on the team.
