BEST OF WEEK 13

Kamren Curl, S, Washington Commanders

After leading the Commander defense and tying his career high in tackles with 11, Curl played a prominent role in Washington’s 20-20 tie with the Giants Sunday. Curl helped Washington curb New York to under both 200 passing and rushing yards throughout the ballgame. Curl provided a crucial stop on third-and-2 with 2:13 remaining in the third quarter, wrapping up Giants QB Dylan Jones, who only gained one yard, and forcing a New York punt. Playing in 66 snaps, Curl also added a tackle for a loss of one yard. Despite missing two games due to injury, Curl has the second-most tackles on Washington this season, making 76 stops with six tackles for loss and one sack.

Dre Greenlaw, LB, San Francisco 49ers

Greenlaw stuffed the stat sheet in San Francisco’s 33-17 routing of Miami on Sunday, tallying a team-high eight stops, including seven solo, one pass breakup, one fumble recovery and a touchdown. With under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, 49er DE Nick Bosa’s sack of Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa resulted in a fumble, which was recovered by Greenlaw, who ran it 23 yards into the end zone to seal a 33-17 victory in Santa Clara. Putting together yet another sensational season, Greenlaw is the fifth-ranked NFL linebacker this season according to Pro Football Focus. The Fayetteville, Ark., native paces San Francisco in tackles with 88 along with fumble recoveries with two.
