#ProHogs In The NFL - Week 9 Report

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Here’s a look at how the 13 former Arkansas football players active on NFL rosters fared this past weekend in Week 9 of the NFL season.

BEST OF WEEK 9

Brandon Allen, QB, Denver Broncos

It was a big weekend for the former Hog quarterback. Allen, making his first start and appearance in a regular-season NFL game, was stepping in for the injured Joe Flacco and Drew Lock, and brought a charge to the Denver offense in its 24-19 win over the Cleveland Browns. Allen was 12-of-20 through the air for 192 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his touchdown throws went for 20 or more yards, the first going to Courtland Sutton for 21 yards in the first quarter and the other going 63 yards for tight end Noah Fans. Allen is now the eighth former Razorback quarterback to start under center in the NFL, following Joe Ferguson, Ryan Mallett, Tavaris Jackson, Scott Bull, Lamar McHan, Clint Stoerner and Mike Kirkland.

Dre Greenlaw, LB, San Francisco 49ers
Greenlaw made his fourth start of the season in Thursday’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals as the 49ers are now the only undefeated team remaining in the NFL. The Fayetteville product only totaled three tackles in the game, but did tally his first career sack as he brought down Kyler Murray early in the second quarter. It was Greenlaw’s third game this year with three or more tackles and he now has 14 this season as well as one tackle for loss.

Hunter Henry, TE, Los Angeles Chargers
Former Mackey Award winner Hunter Henry has been one of the hottest tight ends in the NFL since returning from his knee injury four weeks ago. This week in Los Angeles’ win over the Green Bay Packers, Henry hauled in seven catches for 84 yards, his second-most catches in a game this year. Since his return, Henry has totaled 25 catches, which is the most of any NFL tight end over that period of time.
