Razorbacks at No. 4 in USA Today Coaches Preseason Poll

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks are ranked No. 4 in the USA Today Coaches preseason poll.

It marks the sixth time in the last seven seasons (2018, ’20, ’21, ’22, ’23, ’24) that Arkansas will begin with a top-10 ranking in the USA Today Coaches poll.

The Hogs are ranked behind only No. 1 Wake Forest, reigning national champion No. 2 LSU and last year’s national runner-up No. 3 Florida in the USA Today Coaches preseason poll. No. 5 TCU, No. 6 Vanderbilt, No. 7 Oregon State, No. 8 Tennessee, No. 9 Clemson and No. 10 Texas A&M round out the top 10, with the SEC boasting a nation-leading eight programs in the preseason top 25.

The USA Today Coaches poll is the fifth and final of college baseball’s five major national polls, also including Baseball America, D1Baseball, National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Perfect Game, to release rankings ahead of the 2024 season. The Hogs are a consensus top-five team entering the campaign, checking in at No. 2 by Perfect Game, No. 3 by Baseball America and D1Baseball and No. 4 by the NCBWA and USA Today Coaches.

Arkansas, led by head coach Dave Van Horn, opens the 2024 campaign with a four-game series against James Madison at Baum-Walker Stadium. First pitch between the Razorbacks and Dukes on Opening Day is set for 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, on SEC Network+.
