FAYETTEVILLE – Thanks to consecutive road games and a bye week, Arkansas returns to Bud Walton Arena for the first time in 14 days when the Razorbacks host Georgia on Saturday (Feb. 10). Tipoff is set for 5 pm (CT) and the game will be televised on SEC Network.

Arkansas will stay at home to host #6 Tennessee on Wednesday (Feb. 14).

NOTES:

  • Arkansas and Georgia have met on 43 previous occasions, all coming since the Razorbacks joined the SEC for the 1991-92 season. This is the second meeting between the programs this season as Georgia won, 76-66, on Jan. 10, in Athens.
  • Arkansas leads the all-time series 26-17 versus the Bulldogs including a 13-3 mark in games played in Fayetteville.
  • Arkansas has won 9 of the last 12, including six straight in Bud Walton Arena.
  • In the first meeting this season, Arkansas battled its way to get to within three points on three occasions late in the second half but a Silas DeMary Jr., 3-pointer with 1:03 left put Georgia up eight before closing out the Razorbacks for a 76-66 victory as the Bulldogs went 4-of-4 at the free throw line inside the final 30 seconds. Arkansas only scored 24 first-half points but rallied with 42 in the second half thanks to 18 points from Tramon Mark in the period. Mark finished with 24 points, going 10-of-10 at the free throw line. The team stats were even for the most part. Georgia was 25-of-60 from the field compared to Arkansas 24-of-60 and both teams attempted 22 free throws, Georgia making 17 and Arkansas 15. However, Georgia was 9-of—27 from 3-point range and Arkansas was just 3-of-21. Georgia was led by Justin Hill’s 19 points off the bench. Noah Thomasson added 15 and RJ Melendez had 10.
  • Tramon Mark played his best overall game as a Razorback at Georgia last month. He led the team in scoring (24 points), rebounds (7) and steals (3) while tying for the team lead in assists (3) and blocked shots (3). His three blocked shots are a career high and his three assists and 3 steals tied season highs. He was 10-of-10 at the free throw line and is 1-of-5 Razorbacks to go at least 10-of-10 at the free throw line in an SEC game. He scored 18 of his points in the second half (going 8-of-8 at the line).
  • Arkansas only had three blocked shots at LSU but stayed at #2 in the NCAA in rejections. (Note: Arkansas blocked seven shots in the loss at Georgia last month.) Arkansas has had at least one player with three blocked shots in 13 of the 22 games and seven of the nine SEC games. Interestingly, Arkansas has no players in the NCAA top 145 nor in the SEC top six in blocks per game but is the only team with four players in the top 15.
